With news on Pokemon X and Y just around the corner, we’re looking to add a few more members to our staff team! We are in dire need of News Reporters, Guide Writers, Walkthrough Specialists, and Wiki Editors to help make Generation Pokemon the best place to get information on Pokemon X and Y versions and other Pokemon information.
Japan is getting a special Eevee themed Nintendo 3DS XL. In order to get this Nintendo 3DS, Japanese consumers will need to sign up in a lottery in which their name will be drawn and they will be able to purchase this Nintendo 3DS. It’s unknown currently if this Nintendo 3DS XL will come to the West.
More information has been released on Pokemon X and Y versions.
Earlier, I posted a news post about the gameplay trailer for Pokemon X and Y versions which showcased how the game acts and functions. Now Nintendo of America has posted more information on the four Pokemon we recently saw in CoroCoro and their translated names.
Gogoat retains his name and is shown to use Horn Leech. Elikiteru is now known as Helioptile and can extend his ears like a hand fan and knows the move Parabolic Charge which damages anything around Helioptile and restores its HP. Yanchamu is now named Pancham and knows Parting Shot, which lowers the opponent’s attack and special attack stats and retreats back to its trainer. Yayakoma is now named Fletchling and was shown in the trailer to use Flame Charge to damage an opponent and also increase speed.
As well, the game will obviously expand past the 649 Pokemon we already have and will take place in the Kalos region, which is based on France. The main city shown in the trailer is named Lumiose City.
In other news, the boxart for Pokemon X and Y versions showcase the two legendary Pokemon, Xerneas and Yveltal. Unlike Pokemon Black and White version, the legendaries in Pokemon X and Y version both properly represent their respective version; Xerneas is on the cover of Pokemon X version and Yveltal is on the cover of Pokemon Y Version.
The box art is down below:

The Pokemon Company has released a new gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Pokemon X and Y versions. In this trailer, they go into full detail about what we are going to experience in the new game. The player characters are seen riding on a Gogoat through the main town of Miare City. You will also be able to change your viewpoint, similar to how you can do in some of the Legend of Zelda games. As well, characters will turn their head to a point of interest, also similar to how Link from the Legend of Zelda does in Twilight Princess.
The video also showcases Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie as well as Yayakoma, Yanchamu and Elikiteru (who apparently can open his ears up wide like a handfan.
In a recent episode of “Pokemon Smash” participates were tested to figure out what type Sylveon is. In the episode, it says the Sylveon is “strong against Ice, but weak against Poison and Fighting”. If this is true, then Sylveon isn’t the rumored Fairy-type but is either a new type or a dual type.
I’m leaning more towards that Sylveon could possibly be a Light-type (as Dark in Japanese is called “evil”). Not only that, but Xerneas, the legendary in X version, is shown to have multicolored horns that glow fairly bright.
